I believe my father was born in Garrison in May 1946. He died in 1991 here in Jacksonville, Florida. Does any one know any Metzes around Garrison? My father's name was Roger Allen Metz. His brother Tom, may still live in the area. I would appreciate any information.

Hi: I could really use some help in locating an old service buddy, Duane Metz. He has a brother named Roger and a sister named Carol, married name: Bailey sp?) Metz, who graduated in 1961. I believe Duane graduated or would have about that same time, Roger was a couple of years younger. I was stationed with Duane in 1962-65 in the air force in Tacoma, Wash. at McCord Air Force Base. Spent the summer of, I believe 1967 with Duane and Roger in Columbia S.C. where I met Carol and her husband Bill. Duane was a good friend and I'd really like to get in touch with him. Traced him to Alaska years ago but it ended there. Carol is on a web site but it is one of those pay sites that lead you all over the place but don't give you any help. If anyone knows any of the guys or Carol, please let them know my e-mail and ask them to please get in touch with me.I live on Long Island. There are three of us guys who are trying to find Duane for a little reunion and any help would be most appreciated and thankfully accepted.

When we got out of the service, I drove Duane back to Minot on my way back to New York and got to see Garrison's world's largest, (at the time), earth filled dam. Amazing.

Used to live in Minot 88 and back 91-92. Spent a fair amount of time fishing there and truly enjoyed my time there. Was looking up an old friend and found that he still in the area. Look forward to establishing more fond memories there.

Hi,
I was an exchange student in 1981-1982, I was living with the Arnold Moll family at Raub. I visited Garrison after my exchange year with my husband and children.
The town has gotten so nice, my daughter would love to be an exchange student in North Dakota when she is old enough. But she will stay in N.D. next year, spending the summer with my hostfamily.
I hope she will love it as much as I did!

Would be interested in hearing from anyone who may have known any of the Steffen family that lived in a little two story homestead on the south side of the highway a few miles west of Garrison. I am the grandson of Henry and Anna Steffen, the original homesteaders. I would like to gather a little family history from anyone who may have a relative old enough to remember any of the family. There were nine children who are all long ago deceased. One was Minna Steffen Condon whose husband ran a little country store over in Falkirk for many, many years. Thanks for any help you can offer.
